Monica Hamilton and I have worked together as volunteers for CaRMaH (Cat Rescue of Marlborough and Hudson). We are part of the CaRMaH Fundraising Committee. Monica has taken a leadership role in heading up meetings, using her media talents in writing press releases and posting information on social media. Her contributions have led to the success of our main fundraiser of cat video viewing and auctions in a local theater. Also, CaRMaH hosted a kitten shower to help raise awareness and acquire needed supplies for rescue kittens and cats. These fundraisers have become annual events. Monica edited my two steampunk time travel novels (Timepiece and Timekeeper). She was thorough (catching typos, flagging too-often-used phrases, and noting usage that would be fine in British English but not American) and fast, particularly in the case of the second book, when an issue on my end meant I handed it off to her later than planned. (Not great client behavior on my part, so she really went above and beyond in getting the work done on a shorter-than-planned schedule. I promise not to do that again.) Monica was a pleasure to work with, and I’ll definitely be using her services again.
